How to Ask a Woman Out Without Scaring Her Away

ask a woman

So you’ve been making goo-goo eyes at an attractive lady from across the bar. You don’t want to leave it up to her to initiate the conversation, but you don’t know how you should approach her. It is obvious that she is flirting back and she wants you to come and talk to her.

Most men don’t know how to ask a lady out on a date. Sometimes they need a little liquid courage and that only tends to backfire miserably. If you’re one of those guys who has tried talking to women, but can’t seem to get a positive response...

...there are three things you need to do in order to get a date.

  1. Make Her Laugh

Women may seem like difficult creatures to understand, but in truth there isn’t that much to them. If you can make her laugh for real, and not one of those forced laughs, then you have a good chance of getting her attention.

  1. Pick Up on Her Signals

While you are talking to her, you will want to pay attention to her body language. Does she have her arms crossed? Is she looking around more than at you? Has she turned her body so it is face you or the door? Does she make and maintain eye contact? All of these things are indicators of how the conversation is going. If her body is pointed toward you and she holds eye contact, then you, sir, are grabbing her attention and keeping her interested. Kudos!

  1. Ask Her Out

Yep, that quickly. Once you’re able to decipher her signals, you can gauge whether or not if she will be open to the idea of going out on a date with you. If while you are talking to her, she seems receptive to you and is engaged in the conversation, then you can ask her out. The chance of her turning you down is quite slim.

Need an example how these steps work in action? Well, let’s say you are somewhere quite ordinary, like on the subway. You see a woman you’re interested in and you really want to talk to her, but the car is full and you don’t want to be overbearing by asking for her number right there. So, instead of doing all that, catch her eye and flash her a smile. If she smiles back, you can take that as a good sign. If you are uncertain about her reaction, you can wait a few moments and do it again. If she smiles the second time and it lingers a little longer, then you’re golden. You can save yourself and her from embarrassment by getting off when she does and introduce yourself immediately. You can chuckle about the situation and how of all the places to meet, the subway would be it. Then, if things progress well, you can ask for her phone number.
