"Nurse! I Think I Have a Crush On You!" Tips on How to Flirt with a Nurse

In the medical world, nurses tend to be the compassionate person who is there to tend to your care on a much more personal level than a doctor. Nurses have a pleasant bedside manner that makes you feel comfortable during a time when you are feeling your worst. So, it is completely understandable that you’d want to get to know the nurse better and flirt with them. However, instead of using your usual flirting techniques, you may want to employ a different tactic, as nurses are very busy and have a lot of people to care for.

1. Make Eye Contact

Whenever your nurse comes to care for you, you always want to maintain contact. This will let them know that you are paying attention and value what they have to say about your care. If you happen to start a conversation with them that is not about your care, make sure you smile every once in a while during the chat. The smile is a friendly gesture that sends off the right vibes.

2. Be Friendly

A nurse’s job is very demanding and there are some patients who are more difficult than others to deal with. If you really want to flirt with your nurse and get on their good side, try to be as polite and friendly as possible. Not only will they take notice and give you better care (you attract more flies with sugar rather than vinegar!), but you may have more opportunities to spark conversations.

3. Compliment Them

Now we don’t mean compliment them on their uniform or how they are wearing their hair, but compliment them on their bedside manner or how painlessly they draw blood, things like that. While it may not seem like much to you, these things are important aspects to their job and it is always nice to know that someone notices how hard they work. This flattery may open the doors for more frequent visits from your nurse.

4. Be Honest

If you are in the hospital, chances are you aren’t feeling very well. When you are in the presence of someone you’re attracted to, you may feel inclined to say that you are in a lot of pain when you really aren’t. Don’t lie. Be honest with your nurse so that you can get the best care possible. How is honesty flirting? It is flirting in a non-direct way because you are keeping it real with them so that they can give you proper care. For example, if you aren’t in a lot of pain, tell them so that they can process you out and move on to the next patient. A nurse’s time is very valuable and they will appreciate it not being wasted. Plus, as soon as you get those discharge papers, you can ask them out for coffee, after all, most nurses will not date someone that is under their care.
